Abstract:

This will be the last one from the series of NCBJ FM2 Division seminars devoted to the topic of superconducting cathodes.

Anna Kosińska will be talking on improving adhesion of Pb layers deposited on Nb substrates. Superconducting cathodes for highly efficient electron sources for linear electron accelerators were a practical application motivating that research. The technology of intense pulses of hot plasma was used.

Dr Robert Nietubyć is going to: (i) summarize projects recently concluded by his team, in particular despositing of metal coatings with the help of the arc discharge technology; (ii) outline plans of future research, in particular investigation of quantum efficiency using a new measurement stand. Propagation of capabilities of intense plasma pulses technology among other teams working in NCBJ will be one of the objectives of that presentation.

All interesed are invited.
