Science festivals & picnics

NCBJ's mission includes also a task to disseminate knowledge on nuclear physics/technology-related subjects, in particular on such topics as:

• existing/potential applications in industry/medicine/other sectors of national economy
• all topics related to generation of power in nuclear plants
• impact of ionising radiation on living organisms (including campaings against media-fuelled radiophobia).

NCBJ actively participates in annual knowledge-popularizing events, including:

In our booths we present numerous exhibits/presentations/shows helping broad public to get acquainted with nuclear physics and its laws. In recent years a genuine nuclear power plant simulator was attracting plenty of interest among the visitors. More deeply interested persons are usually attracted by lectures given and seminars conducted by our scientists, who are ready to answer all questions that may be asked by the attendees.
