Świerk Research Centre is located about 30 km south-east of Warsaw (about 5 km east of Otwock) on a land plot of an area of 44 ha. The terrain is fenced off, guarded, and equipped with some dedicated infrastructure including three independent power service lines and a proprietary water intake. That area is National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) main premises.

Zjazd nr 4 do NCBJ

National road No. 17 (the so-called Lublin road) is a convenient access route to Świerk. Coming from Warsaw, take exit No. 4 according to the signs "National Center for Nuclear Research" (Narodowe Centrum Badań Jądrowych).

Caution. Some older maps show wrong location of the Sołtana street in Otwock-Świder.

NCBJ provides regular bus transport for its employees and guests visiting Świerk. The bus lines connect Świerk with Warsaw, Otwock and several other locations in the neighbourhood.

The Warsaw branch of NCBJ is located at 7 Pasteura str. in Warsaw. It shares the building with Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The branch consists of divisions from the Department of Fundamental Research: Nuclear Physics Division, Theoretical Physics Division, High Energy Physics Division and Astrophysics Division.
