Abstract:

Neutrino oscillations were suggested almost 60 years ago and the phenomenon was experimentally confirmed 18 years ago. However, there are still some controversies regarding the description of the phenomenon. The lecture will be devoted to those issues. A currently accepted description of oscillations of the particles formulated in the quantum field theory language will be given in as simple way as possible. Reasons of the so-far experienced problems will be identified.
