NCBJ opens a competition to fill up a vacancy at a position of Assistant Professor in Radiation Protection Measurements Laboratory located in Świerk.

The successful candidate must meet requirements specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Institutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U. 96 pos. 618).
Detailed requirements:
- PhD degree in earth science/geoscience or in a related field
- documented knowledge of geochemistry/mineralogy/petrology
- experience in analysing structure of materials and applying nuclear/other advanced techniques (gamma spectrometry/INAA/SEM/EDX/XRD/ICP MS) to investigate environmental/geological/engineering samples (rocks/soils/waters/air/extra-terrestrial matter/engineering materials)
- knowledge of the Polish Atomic Law Act
- powers of a IOR-1 Radiation Protection Inspector and practice in safe work at occupational exposure to ionising radiation
- team work skills and readiness to participate in projects accomplished abroad
- good command of written and spoken English.
