NCBJ opens a competition to fill up a vacancy at a position of Assistant Professor in Radiation Protection Measurements Laboratory located in Świerk.

The successful candidate must meet re­qui­re­ments specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Insti­tutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U.  96 pos. 618).

Detailed requirements:

  • PhD degree in earth science/geoscience or in a related field
  • documented knowledge of geochemistry/mineralogy/petrology
  • experience in analysing structure of materials and applying nuclear/other advanced techniques (gamma spectrometry/INAA/SEM/EDX/XRD/ICP MS) to investigate environmental/geological/engineering samples (rocks/soils/waters/air/extra-terrestrial matter/engineering materials)  
  • knowledge of the Polish Atomic Law Act
  • powers of a IOR-1 Radiation Pro­tec­tion Inspector and practice in safe work at occupational exposure to ionising radiation
  • team work skills and readiness to participate in projects accomplished abroad
  • good command of written and spoken English.
