Assistant Professor in astrophysics/observational cosmology

NCBJ opens a competition to fill up a vacancy at a position of Assistant Professor in Astrophysics Division. Employment contract will be signed for 6 years and may be renewed. The successful candidate must meet requirements specified in par. 43 of Act on Research Institutes passed on April 30, 2010 (Dz.U.  96 pos. 618).

Requirements:

• PhD in physics
• record of research in extragalactic astrophysics and observational cosmology.

Additional assets:

• experience in statistical analysis of large scale structure of the Universe, evolution of galaxies, analysis of spectra of galaxies/quasars
• involvement in current and/or planned international projects/space missions in the field of cosmology.
