Modeling short gamma ray bursts from binary neutron star mergers with general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics
2019.11.04 8:09 - Anna RędaszekI will present the recent development of numerical tools for GR MHD
modeling of the black hole accretion flows. The black hole appears as the result
of a binary neutron star merger, and is surrounded by a remnant debris torus.
The code named HARM_COOL is our implementation of the existing algorithm
for a conservative GR MHD scheme. The newly added modules cover the neutino
cooling and the nuclear equation of state for dense matter, as relevant for the
physics of accretion flows in a gamma-ray burst (GRB) central engine environment. -
POSSIBLE UNITARITY OF BLACK HOLE EVAPORATION
2019.10.29 14:11 - Anna RędaszekIn the framework of finite-dimensional Fock space models, for a fixed given mean number of particles $\bar{n}_{k}$, blackbody-like or another, it is shown that there are, in the space $S$ of all pure states, a multi-dimensional subspace $s_{\bar{n}_{k}}$ of initial pure states and a corresponding multi-dimensional subspace $S_{\bar{n}_{k}}$ of final pure states yielding $\bar{n}_{k}$, which are mutually related by a unitary transformation.

High-energy QCD: towards precision
2019.07.23 8:55 - AgnieszkaTurlejIn this talk, I will discuss some recent and ongoing theoretical progresses concerning Quantum Chromodynamics in the regime of high-energy scattering, or equivalently low Bjorken x, in which the nonlinearity of the gluon field dynamics is essential. I will focus mostly on advances in higher order computations, aiming at a precise description of this nonlinear regime.
